Raising Children Who
Know ChristHogar de Vida Today

In Costa Rica, Hogar de Vida, approximately 45 minutes from San Jose, operates family-style children’s homes for children who have been removed from unsafe environments. We partner with the national child welfare system and provide both short- and long-term care. Children attend local schools, receive medical and emotional care, learn life skills, and grow up in a stable home environment with consistent caregivers who become like family.

In Guatemala, Hogar de Vida, approximately 6 hours north of Guatemala City, cares for children in a smaller home setting, operates a nutrition program for local children, and provides a weekday home for girls who live too far away to attend school. These programs help children receive education, nutrition, and care that would otherwise be out of reach.

Though the programs are different in each country, the heart of the ministry is the same: to serve children in the name of Christ and to show them through daily life that they are loved, valued, and never forgotten by God.

A Place of Healing

At Hogar De Vida, abandoned and abused children ages 2–10 find safety, care, and love. Our transitional home provides essentials, food, clothing, education, and access to professional support including a psychologist, nurse, and caregivers.

We believe in planting seeds of faith during these formative years. Through compassionate care, children experience God’s love, opening the door to restoration and hope as they prepare to return home or join a heart family.

A Mission of Hope

At Hogar de Vida, we provide full-time shelter and holistic care for children at risk, meeting physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Our mission is temporary, but God’s Word is eternal so we plant seeds of faith in every heart we touch.

Education is key to a brighter future. With your support, we offer academic training alongside biblical teaching, empowering children for independence.

Beyond our walls, we serve the San Andrés community through outreach projects—providing food, repairing homes, and sharing God’s love. Future plans include a nutrition program to promote healthy, sustainable living.
