Feeding Centers

The San Andres Sajcabaja area is one of the poorest areas in Guatemala. The area is very arid and many people have to look for seasonal work outside of the area in order to put food on the table. In some communities children do not get the daily nutritional requirements. The Home of Life & Nutrition has one community where they provide a complete meal 5 days a week.

{Feb `03} Santos Chutuj and family use their home to provide a place to share the food provided by the home. If a community wants to receive help from the home with a healthy meal for their own children, then the parents have to provide a place and prepare the meal.

Where is the chow folks? Please pass the tortillas.

Every meal always has the corn tortillas and black beans.

The home also provides milk and vitamins once a week to mothers who bring their infants to the home.

{Apr `03} 25-30 mothers bring their infants weekly to the home in San Andres to receive milk and vitamins.

{Apr `03} This help is in addition to the feeding programs in various villages in the area. Recently the LORD showed His loving kindness via a man who had seen a short video on Noemy and her desire to help in the villages and he wrote a check for $1300.00! Thank you sir, and all praise to our LORD!
